International Cricket Teams Urged by Pakistani Skipper Sarfaraz Ahmad to visit Pakistan…………

Sarfraz Ahmed addressing journalists at Karachi Press Club said if international teams can play in England despite all the issues they should also come to Pakistan to play cricket, captain Sarfraz Ahmed said at a gathering held in his honour at Karachi Press Club.

“It would be difficult to replace Misbah and Younis,” Ahmed accepted, but said that he hopes batsmen like Azhar Ali, Babar Azam, and Asad Shafiq will step up for the team.

“Test captaincy is a challenge but things will get easier with time,” he said.

The team has developed a combination of senior and junior players and seniors cannot simply be pushed out if some juniors are performing well, Sarfaraz said. “You need your senior players in pressure situations to guide the team.”

Sarfraz also took the opportunity to thank mentors especially Azam Khan for his services for cricket in Karachi.

Things are improving for Pakistan cricket and we will try to make the most of this gap in international cricket, he added.

“Pakistan cricket has lost a lot owing to an absence of international cricket, and it is time for international teams to recognise us,” he said. “We have not played cricket at home for the past nine years,” Ahmed said adding that despite home-like conditions in UAE, playing at home is a different experience.

He also expressed hope that after events like the arrival of “Ronaldinho and friends”, international cricket teams will also visit Pakistan.

Driver of PDP MLA detained by Police in Militancy releated Case………

Police have detained driver of ruling Peoples Democratic Party legislator Aijaz Ahmad Mir for “investigation into a militancy related case”.

A source said Touseef Ahmad was picked up by police this morning for “questioning”.

Confirming the development, superintendent of police Shopian, Ambarkar Shriram Dinkar, said Touseef was “cooperating with the investigators.”

“It is related to a militancy case,” he said. “I will be able to comment on the case when the investigation reaches at certain stage.”

Touseef, a resident of Chokura Pulwama, had been deputed as driver with the MLA some seven months ago from security wing of J&K police.

Aijaz, who represents Wachi constituency, said he was in Chandigarh for a health check up. “I was told by the SP that he (Touseef) has been picked up for the investigation into a militancy related case,” said the MLA.

The source said police has arrested two more persons along with Touseef for their alleged involvement in the same case.

Wachi has emerged as a fertile ground for new age militancy in Kashmir. A police official said around 25 militants, belonging to both Hizbul Mujahideen and Lashkar-e-Toiaba, come from this constituency.

Two top militant commanders from Hizb and LeT, Saddam Paddar and Waseem Shah alias Osama respectively are residents of Heff, Zainapora in Shopian. They are the only surviving militants from the group picture that included slain Hizb commander Burhan Wani which had gone viral on social media some years ago. The picture was believed to have been shot somewhere in Shopian.

In March 2015 a policeman, Naseer Ahmad Pandit, guarding the house of PDP minister Altaf Bukhari had decamped with two rifles. Pandit, a resident of Kareemabad Pulwama, was however killed in an encounter later.

Reliance Jio Revises its Existing Rs. 309 and Rs. 509 Plans: Launches New Rs. 399 Plan Offering 1GB Data Per Day for 84 Days……..

Indian telecom sensation, Reliance Jio has launched a few new plans to disrupt the market yet again. For the unaware, Reliance Jio’s Dhan Dhana Dhan offer is set to end on July 15, and the users have to recharge with either the Rs. 309 or Rs. 509 plan to enjoy the benefits. However, they offer benefits for only 28 days. And now, the company has come up with new plans and also revised the existing Rs. 309 and Rs. 509 plans.

Let’s first begin with the new plan introduced by Reliance Jio today. The company has unveiled a new Rs. 399 scheme for JioPrime customers, which offers 1GB data per day for 84 days (same as what the Rs. 309 plan is currently offering). Secondly, the company announced a new Rs. 349 plan which gives 20GB data for 56 days and it won’t offer daily data.

Coming to the revised Rs. 309 and Rs. 509 plans, they were all set to offer 1GB data per day and 2GB data per day for 28 days from July 15. However, after the revision, they will offer the same benefits for 56 days. That said, only the validity has changed and nothing else.

There are some revisions to other premium plans as well. The Rs. 999 plan will now provide 90GB data from the previous 60GB data for 90 days. The Rs. 1999 plan is now valid for 120 days, and the data benefit is also increased from 125GB to 155GB.

Reliance Jio New Prepaid Plans
The Rs. 4999 plan will now provide 380GB data for 210 days, modified from the 350GB data for 180 days validity. Lastly, the Rs. 9999 plan is now valid for 390 days and gives a benefit of 780GB data.

As usual, all these plans offer unlimited free voice calls and a subscription to all the Jio apps. Jio did not modify the entry-level plans such as Rs. 19, Rs. 49, Rs. 96, and Rs. 149.

And for the postpaid users as well, Jio silently launched some new plans. The Rs. 399 plan for postpaid users offers 1GB data per day for 90 days (three months), making it a total of 90GB. The Rs. 349 plan for postpaid users gives 20GB data for 60 days without any daily cap limit.

Reliance Jio New Postpaid Plans
The Rs. 309 and Rs. 509 plans for postpaid users are also revised and are now valid for two months (60 days) from the previous one month benefit. Lastly, the Rs. 999 plan now gives 90GB data for 60 days, revised from the previous 30 days validity.

As mentioned earlier, all these plans are valid only for JioPrime customers, and the company did not reveal the benefits for non-JioPrime members as of this writing. The prepaid plans are already available for recharge for JioPrime members via the company’s official site- Jio.com.

Reliance Jio is disrupting the market yet again with these new plans, and yes, the Rs. 399 seems to be an attractive plan with the same benefits of Rs. 309 plan.

India rules out third party mediation after China offer on Kashmir issue…….

Reacting to the Chinese Foreign Office spokesperson’s remarks that China was ready to mediate between India and Pakistan over Kashmir, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Gopal Baglay said cross-border terrorism was at the heart of the issues between New Delhi and Islamabad.
“Our stand is absolutely clear. You are all aware of the fact that at the heart of the matter is the issue of terrorism perpetrated on India, including on the people of the state of Jammu and Kashmir. So, the matter is that cross-border terrorism in our region emanating from a particular force is threatening the peace and stability in not only India but other neighbours and also the entire region and the world,” Baglay said in his weekly media briefing.
“As far as the Kashmir issue is concerned, you know that the government’s position has been very consistent and clear. We are ready, we have been ready to have dialogue with Pakistan… That position of addressing all the issues with Pakistan, including Jammu and Kashmir, in a bilateral framework has not changed.”
The Chinese foreign ministry on Wednesday offered to play a “constructive role” in improving India-Pakistan ties over Kashmir where the “situation has attracted the attention of the international community”.
Baglay also rubbished Pakistan media reports hinting at use of chemical weapons in Kashmir.
“The claims are completely baseless and incorrect. India is against the use of chemical weapons anywhere in the world.”
He said it was “quite surprising” to see what the government of Pakistan was talking about and reading from the terror script of the Lashkar-e-Taiba.
“They have taken a leaf out of the book of Lashkar-e-Taiba on those ridiculous comments. The government is taking its cue from an internationally banned terrorist organisation,” he added.

86th Martyrs Day: Glowing Tributes Paid To Martyrs Of 13 July 1931……..

Terming their sacrifices as a golden chapter in the history of Jammu & Kashmir, Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti has paid glowing tributes to the Martyrs of July 13, 1931.

In her message on the occasion of 86th Martyrs Day, the Chief Minister said the brave hearts of 1931 sacrificed their lives for laying a strong edifice of democracy, equality and liberty in the State which ought to be safeguarded, respected and protected by every citizen.

Mehbooba Mufti said the best way one can pay homage to these heroes is to develop Jammu & Kashmir as an egalitarian and tolerant society, free from the distinctions of religion, region, caste or creed. “The heroes of 1931 had dreamed of a democratic, prosperous and tolerant Jammu & Kashmir for which they even laid their lives. It’s now our responsibility and challenge to make the State truly a model by strengthening these ideals and guarding them firmly,” she said in her statement.

The Chief Minister appealed the people of the State to take a pledge on this day to protect and safeguard the honour and dignity of the State and its people at all costs and not let tyranny and suppression resurface in any form in the State.

Not only 07 yatris but 1 lac Kashmiris have been killed: Eng Rasheed…….

Reiterating his demand to conduct a credible probe into attack on Amarnath Yatris, incumbent Langate lawmaker, Er Rasheed has apprehended that security agencies in coming days may claim to have identified or eliminated the attackers by making someone a scapegoat.

In a statement issued to Panin Kasheer News Network Rasheed said that Kashmiris need not to be apologetic as they are neither involved in the incident nor can they stop such brutal tragedies

He said, “Mehbooba Mufti, Omar Abdullah and others have been constantly claiming that their heads lie in shame over the incident but may they answer what is the fault of Kashmiris so that they need to have their heads in shame. Such apologetic and appeasing statements give an impression as if every Kashmiris is holding a gun in his hands and has no business but to kill Yatris. Let world understand that it is not only seven yatris who lost their lives in Kashmir but more than one Lac Kashmiris have been buried in graveyards and nobody cares for them.”

The firebrand lawmaker said it is duty and right of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to condemn the killings of Yatris through tweet but why doesn’t he speak even a single world when “innocent” Kashmiris are “butchered” on daily basis.

“Kashmiris have a right to ask Farooq Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti that while they are rightly finding no logic in killing Yatris, why they have always been finding an excuse when Kashmiris get butchered. Mehbooba Mufti has done a good thing by spending whole night with the injured Yatris but she must answer as to why she blames innocent Kashmiris when they get killed.”

Rasheed added that Kashmiris are not against providing six lac rupees compensation to families of Yatris but why not a penny has been paid to more than hundred innocents killed during last one year and why don’t their families deserve same sympathy.

The Langate lawmaker said that government must come clean on what was the reason behind Yatris being forced to hoist tricolour at Pahalgam, as it seems just an act of provocation.

Accusing that forces have been given license to kill Kashmiris Rasheed added that the recent encounter at Beerwah in which three youth were killed is ample proof to conclude that security forces leave no chance to kill Kashmiris.

He said, “If Government claims the three militants had just a pistol and an SLR rifle with them and there was no collateral damage, forces could have trapped all the three alive, rather celebrating ‘their brutal murder.”

“Let nobody forget that like Zubair Turray and Bashir Lashkar, Sajad Ahmad Gilkar of Nowhatta had also joined militancy as a result of police atrocities.”

He also demanded probe into the Yatra attack and cautioned government not to make attack on Yatris another mystery like that of Chattisinghpora.

Banners ‘admiring’ Burhan Wani surface in funeral prayers of slain militants……..
