Kashmir shuts on resistance leaders call Restrictions in Srinagar parts……..

A complete shutdown is being observed across Kashmir valley on the call of joint resistance leadership.

The call for shutdown has been given against the alleged Human Rights (HR) violations at the hands forces.

The leaders in a statement on Wednesday called for march to the United Nations Military Observer’s Office in Srinagar in protest against the “rights violations”.

To foil the march, government has imposed severe restrictions in most parts of the city under Section 144.

Reports from old city of Srinagar said that curfew-like restrictions have been imposed in Downtown.

According to the district administration Srinagar restrictions under section 144 CrPc have been imposed in areas falling under the jurisdiction of seven police stations — Rainawari, Khanyar, Nowhatta, M.R.Gunj, Safa Kadal, Maisuma and Ram Munshibagh.

Forces have erected barricades in most parts of the city especially around United Nations Military Observer’s Office in Srinagar, entry and exit points of old city and in city centre Lalchowk.

Meanwhile, train services have been suspended across Kashmir, keeping in view of the shutdown call.
