Killing of Shopian student: Resistance camp calls for Kashmir Bandh on Friday

 2017_6$largeimg204_Jun_2017_235218263The joint resistance leadership has called for shutdown in Kashmir valley on Friday to express “people’s resentment and indignation against the brutal killing of young Adil Ahmed Magray”.

In a statement, issued here today, the leadership said: “To express people’s resentment and indignation against the brutal killing of young Adil  Ahmed Magray by the Indian forces and to express  complete solidarity with the bereaved family  complete strike will be observed on Friday the 9th of June across the valley and after Friday prayers peaceful protest will be held across the valley against the killing

They also asked people from south Kashmir areas to march towards Adil’s  residence to express solidarity with the bereaved family.

“Peaceful Protests will also be held against the Indian electronic media’s propagandas war against the people of Kashmir and the prejudices and biases against Kashmiris being promoted by them,” said the leadership.

The recent “illegal” NIA raids conducted on pro-freedom activists and traders to “intimidate and defame” leadership and the freedom movement and to damage the state economy will also denounced and protested by people, they said.
